# Tax Exempt

Let qualified B2B buyers skip tax by entering a valid tax ID on the cart page, and exempt existing customers in bulk.

### Smarter Pricing for Eligible B2B Buyers

In wholesale, many customers are entitled to tax exemption. The **Tax Exempt** module lets qualified buyers skip taxes while keeping everything transparent and compliant.

With this module, you can:

* Show a **tax ID field** on the **cart page** (not on Shopify checkout) where customers enter their business tax number
* Check the number and **remove tax** when it is valid (EU VAT, UK VAT, ABN, India GST and US EIN)
* Apply it to all customers, logged-in customers, specific customers or **customer tags**
* If your prices include tax, remove the included tax as a checkout discount for exempt customers
* Tag tax-exempt orders
* Use **Bulk tax exempt** to mark existing customers as tax exempt in Shopify
* Translate the texts your customers see
