Option Type: Text box

This is a quick overview of the Text box option.
Step 1: Please create an option set (follow this guide for more details)
Step 2: Choose option type: Text box and set the General Information
Step 3: Set the target of Price add-on (optional)

If you choose to Assign to variant, follow this guide for more information.
Note:
● Once you choose this option type, your customers can insert any text but emojis.
● Text Box option type does not allow your customers to Enter and write more than one paragraph.
Step 4: Set up Advanced option settings (optional)

Required field: When you choose Yes, that field will be required to fill in.
Here is an example of how it looks like in your storefront:
Placeholder text: you can set up Placeholder text to give your customers a clear example of what should be filled in the field.

Default value: it will display automatically in the field when customers go to the product page.

Help text: Help text can be displayed as Tooltip or Content.

Once you set it to display as Content, you can choose its position as: Below the option title, Beside the option title, or Below all options.

Min characters/Max characters:

If your customers input more than the maximum characters, a message will inform them of max characters.
