Shopify POS integration

Shopify POS is a flexible, cloud-based system that connects in-store, online, and mobile sales while giving merchants real-time access to inventory and customer data.

Integrated with the BLOY Loyalty App, it enables customers to earn and redeem points during in-person purchases, all within one seamless POS interface, making loyalty management easy and efficient for store staff.

How to display BLOY loyalty on the POS device

To start using BLOY Loyalty with your Shopify POS, please follow these steps below:

Step 1: Install Point of Sale from the Shopify App store to your store

Step 2: Add BLOY Loyalty to the POS Smart Grid

  • From navigation tab, go to Settings > POS apps > BLOY Loyalty POS extension

  • Click Add to display the BLOY Loyalty block on your POS interface

Step 3: Log in to Your Shopify Store on your POS device

Once logged in, you will see the BLOY Loyalty block displayed on your smart grid screen.

Use cases for store staff training

  1. New customer makes first purchase

  • During checkout, store staff tap Add customer to create a new customer profile.

  • After entering the customer's details, tap Save to attach the profile to the current order. The customer information will also be saved to Shopify Admin.

  • If earning rules are set, the customer will automatically earn points after completing the purchase.

  1. Returning customers redeem points

  • At checkout, store staff attach the returning customer’s profile by entering their information.

  • The customer’s loyalty details will appear in the BLOY Loyalty Rewards extension, showing available points and redeemable rewards.

  • Staff select the appropriate reward, tap Redeem, and then Apply. The discount will be applied directly at checkout and reflected in the final payment.

  1. Customer asks about their points balance

  • Store staff search and attach the customer’s profile during or outside of checkout.

  • By tapping the BLOY Loyalty tile, they can view the customer’s current points balance, redeemable and existing rewards.

  • Even if no redemption is made, staff can inform the customer of their available points and future reward options.
