Email Subscriber sync

When someone subscribes via your banner or popup, their email will be stored in the app — and can also be automatically synced to your Shopify Customers list. You can also add tags to help with segmentation and personalized marketing later.


📍 Where to find subscriber data

All collected emails will be listed under the Subscribers tab inside the app.

You’ll see details like:

  • Subscriber’s email address

  • Date of signup

  • Signup source (which campaign they came from)

  • Sync status


🔗 Shopify Sync Settings

Go to editing your Email Campaign banner/popup > Shopify Integration tab to manage sync options.

  • Enable Shopify Sync When enabled, new subscribers will be automatically added to your Shopify Customers list. → You can find them in: Shopify Admin > Customers > Email Subscription Status = Subscribed

  • Disable Shopify Sync When disabled, subscribers will still be collected in the app, but won’t be pushed to your Shopify store.

Tip: Shopify sync is great if you want to manage all your customer data in one place, or use it with Shopify Email and other Shopify-integrated tools.


🏷️ Add Tags to Subscribers

You can assign tags to every subscriber collected through this campaign. These tags will also be synced to Shopify (if enabled).

  • Default tag: BSSbanner

  • You can customize this field — add your own tag(s) to match your campaign goals. (e.g. “popup-signup”, “cart-offer”, “home-email-banner”)

💡 Why use tags? Tags help you organize your subscribers and send more targeted email campaigns. For example, you can filter all customers tagged with “cart-popup” and send them a discount email later.


📬 Want to sync with other email tools like Klaviyo?

Many apps like Klaviyo can automatically pull subscriber data from your Shopify Customers list — including the tags you add here. This means:

  • No extra integration step is required.

  • You can build smart segments in Klaviyo using those tags.

  • Subscribers collected via your campaign can enter flows in your email platform.
