📩 How to use the Email Signup banner?

What is an Email Signup banner?

An Email Signup Banner is designed to collect customer emails directly from your store. Whether you want to grow your email list, offer exclusive discounts, or improve customer engagement, this banner helps you achieve those goals effortlessly.

✔ Grow your email list – Build a subscriber base for future marketing campaigns. ✔ Boost conversions – Offer discounts or exclusive deals to turn visitors into customers. ✔ Easy automation – Syncs directly with Shopify to manage subscribers seamlessly. ✔ Personalized marketing – Automatically tag subscribers based on the banner they signed up from, making it easier to segment them by campaign.

In your dashboard, navigate to Banner > Create Banner

Select Email Sign-up from the banner type list.

Step 2: Configure Banner Settings

Once selected, you will enter the banner editor, which consists of:

Left Sidebar: Configure Content, Style, Schedule, Conditions, Translations, Integration.
Top Bar: Rename, activate/deactivate, preview on PC/Mobile and view the state Signup or Success.

Step 3: Set Up Banner Content

3.1 Set Up the Signup Step

Text Section – Add a compelling message to encourage signups.
Form Section:
- Includes an Email field by default.
- Click Add Field to include First Name, Last Name, or Email Consent (if required by law).
- Set required fields, update placeholders, and rearrange fields using drag-and-drop.

💡 Tip: Keep your signup message short and persuasive. A simple line like: ✔ "Join & get 10% off – Sign up now!" ✔ "Be the first to know! Get exclusive deals & early access." …works much better than a long, generic sentence.

3.2 Configure the Success Message

After a customer signs up, they’ll see a Success Message:

Text – Confirm their subscription with a message like “Thank you! Check your inbox for a special offer.”
Call to Action – Add:
- A Copy Code button to easily apply discounts.
- A Shop Now button linking to a specific collection or product.
- A Clickable Banner for additional promotions.

💡 Tip: Use the preview toggle in the top right to switch between the Signup and Success steps.

Step 4: Customize Banner Appearance

Step 5: Schedule Banner Display

📌 Control when and how long the banner appears

✔ Schedule:

Choose to display the banner in a period of time or in a fixed time range.
Example: Display the banner only during Black Friday sales.

✔ When to show:

Delay Before Showing (No delay, 5s, 10s, etc.).
Show Again After Closing (After reload, after days, or never).

Step 6: Set Display Conditions

Where to Display: Show the banner on selected pages.
Who Sees It: Use Shopify Customer Tags to target specific users.
Country Settings: Display different banners based on location.

Step 7: Add Translations (Optional)

Support multiple languages so international customers see the correct banner.

Step 8: Shopify Integration

Enable/Disable Shopify Sync – If disabled, subscribers are stored only within the app.
If enabled, new subscribers will be synced to:
- Shopify Dashboard > Customers > Email Subscription Status > Subscribed.
Tag Subscribers:
- Default tag: BSSbanner (you can modify or add multiple tags).

💡 Tip: Use tags to segment subscribers and create targeted email campaigns.

Step 9: Save & Preview

✔ Final Check:

Save the banner & preview it on Storefront (PC & Mobile).
Ensure discount codes are applied properly:
- Add the discount code in the Success Step.
- Or use Shopify Flow to automatically send a discount email.
