In the General Settings section, you can control the visibility and behavior of the map on your store's locator page. This section allows you to fine-tune how the map interacts with users and how store information is displayed. Here's a detailed breakdown of the settings:

1. Locator Page Configuration

  • Click Activate/Deactivate the Store Locator Page to adjust the visibility of the store locator page on your site.

  • Map Zoom Level: Control the default zoom level of the map when the page is loaded. You can choose between 3 views:

Country View: Shows a broad map, ideal for stores in multiple regions.

City View: Focuses on a particular city.

Street View: Provides a close-up view of the street level.

  • Distance Units: Choose the unit for measuring distance on the map. It applies to the distance between the pin location to stores, and the radius search options.

  • Marker Clustering: When zoomed out, individual markers may overlap, cluttering the map. Marker Clustering combines nearby markers into clusters, making it easier to see areas with many locations. Enable this feature for better clarity in dense areas, or disable it if you prefer to display all individual markers.

2. Store Information Visibility

You can control which store information is shown on the Info Window Content (the popup on the map) and the Menu Block.

  • Choose Visible Fields:

    • Enable or disable fields such as:

      • Schedule

      • Address

      • Phone

      • Fax

      • Email

      • Website

      • Custom Field (Additional information)

      • Get Directions link (A link to open Google Maps for directions)

3. First Map Loading

Manage how the map behaves when the store locator page is first visited.

  • Starting Position: You can choose how the map focuses on the initial load:

    • Auto-detect Customer's Address:

      • Automatically detects the customer’s location and shows nearby stores.

    • Manual Default Address:

    • Display All Stores on the List and Map:

      • The map will zoom out to show all stores at once, fitting them within the view.

4. Filtering and Search

Customize how users can filter and search for stores.

  • Tag Option: Enable or disable the tag filter on the store locator page to allow customers to filter stores by tags. Once enabled, choose to display the tag filter as either checkbox or a dropdown menu.

  • Search Radius: Enable the Show Radius option to let customers set a search radius for nearby stores. You can adjust the Default Distance slider to define the default radius on the map, allowing customers to view stores within the range you prefer.

These settings provide full control over how the store locator page works, ensuring the map and store information behave in a way that best suits your customers' needs. For assistance with setting these up, feel free to contact our support team.

Set a default location that is focused on when the map loads.

Country Filter: Enable or disable the country filter to allow customers to search for stores by country when operating worldwide. Once enabled, you can choose to display the available countries as either checkboxes or a dropdown menu.

Allow Customers to Search By: Enable search options by Location, Phone Number, Store Name or ZIP code.

Search Results: Set the maximum number of results displayed for each search. Choose between 5, 10, or All.
