How to lock pages with the Login View Pages module

Login View Pages requires your users to login to view certain pages or content.

In order to enable this feature, you should go to Dashboard

On the left panel, choose Login View Pages > Login View Pages Rules > Create new rule.

The setting is extremely easy to follow:

Step 1: ENABLE THE RULE

STEP 2. SET RULE SETUP

This section allows you to customize the content that customers see when they visit a restricted page, as well as how they should be redirected.

In Show content section, there are 4 options to configure:

  • Shopify Default Login Form: this will use Shopify Default Form, so there won't be any customization available.

  • 3 other customizable options:

    • Custom content message: Complete customizable content

    • Login form & custom message: Show Shopify’s Login form and your custom message

    • Registration form & custom message: Show Shopify’s Registration form and your custom message

In After login, redirect to section, there are 3 options:

  • Account dashboard: Shopify’s account dashboard

  • Custom page: Redirect to a specific page of your choice

  • Restricted page: Redirected to the page you were on before, which was restricted

STEP 3. CHOOSE SPECIFIC PAGES TO LOCK

You can choose to lock specific product pages, collection pages, and any pages of your store.

Multiple selections are allowed.

You can use Excluded pages to specify which pages should be excluded from the rules.

For example:

You have a blog and you only want logged-in users to see the blog page and all of its content, but you want non-logged-in users to see some specific blog posts, you can use Excluded pages.

To set it up, choose the option Exclude specific URLs. Then, enter the URLs of the pages you want to exclude from the rule and click on Add Page.

Note:

If you lock the main blog page and allow non-logged-in users to access specific subpages, you'll need to provide them with the URLs of those subpages so they can view the content.

STEP 4: ADVANCED SETTINGS

Click on Show Advanced configurations

  • Additionally, you have the option to choose products that won't be affected by the rule.

  • You can set up a period to automatically enable or disable the rule.

  • On the restricted page, you can choose to:

    • Hide the header and footer if you do not want non-targeted customers to access links on Header, Menu, and Footer.

    • Hide the navigation bar in case you do not want non-targeted customers to access your menu. This option is only available when you choose "No" at "Hide header and footer"

STEP 5: FRONTEND DISPLAY

When customers come to restricted pages, the login form will be displayed instead of the pages' content.
