Why is my Quick Order page showing an error?

Case 1: You created a Quick Order page with your old theme, and later changed to a new theme

If you created a Quick Order page before switching to a new theme, that page may still be using code from the old theme and won’t display correctly.

How to fix it:

  • You need to click the “Update ” button in the app.

  • This will update the Quick Order page to be compatible with your new theme.

Tip: Always update or re-sync your Quick Order pages after switching themes to avoid display issues.

Case 2: You just changed your theme, but Shopify hasn’t updated it yet

This can happen when you switch themes, but Shopify hasn’t fully applied the new theme in the backend.

Example:

  • Customer A is using the Dawn theme as the live theme.

  • They switch to the Spotlight theme.

  • After switching, they create a new Quick Order page, publish it, and try to view it.

  • Instead of the page loading properly, they see an error screen.

Why? ⇒ Shopify hasn’t fully applied the theme update yet.

How to fix it:

  1. Go to Online Store in your Shopify admin.

  2. Click “View your store” (this action triggers Shopify to refresh your current theme settings).

  3. Now, go back and view your Quick Order page again.

  4. The page should now load correctly.
