Installations

This article will provide a detailed step-by-step guide to work with the 'Installation' function in your store.

This Installation section is where you can adjust how the menu bar, together with certain in-app buttons, displays at your storefront. This is also an important step to function several in-app modules.

To use the Installation feature, follow these steps below:

Step 1: In the navigation bar on your left hand side, click the 'Installation' module to access the tab.

Step 2: The screen should appear as the image below. At this section, there are 4 tabs with different purposes:

  • Navigation: Rearrange and add more menu items into the main menu bar at your storefront.

  • Request for Quote: Install and display the Add to quote button at your storefront. This is essential to make our Request for Quote feature work properly.

  • Net Terms: Install and display the Purchase Late button at your storefront. This is essential to make our Net Terms feature work properly.

  • Company Account: Install and display the Company Account button at your storefront. This is essential to make our Company Account feature work properly.

Step 3: Adjust the Navigation tab.

The Navigation tab is where you can rearrange, add new and delete certain pages in your storefront's main menu.

To add a new page into your menu, click the button 'Add Menu Item'. Then, some text fields will show up. Fill in those fields based on these instructions below:

  • Label: Decide the text label of the menu item at your storefront.

  • Link: Select the page where the menu item will lead to.

  • When done setting the menu item, click on the check icon to save, or the trash icon to discard the changes.

  • On the top corner of the page, remember to click the Save button to secure and display your changes.

For example, here I set the label as 'Customer portal' and the link will lead to customer portal dashboard. After done saving my changes, the main menu at my storefront should appear as below:

Aside from 3 default menu items, there is also my custom menu item (Customer portal). This menu item will lead to the dashboard page as I have set previously. Based on my example, you can try customizing, adding more pages to your liking.

Not only add more pages, you can also rearrange the available menu items to fit your preferred order. Simply click this icon and drag the items to a specific order.

For example, when dragging the Contact section on top of all other sections, the order of menu items appeared on storefront will change into the image below:

Step 4: Adjust the Request for Quote tab:

To install the 'Add to Quote' button, use one of our methods below:

a. Automatic Installation (recommended)

This is a quick and simple way to install the 'Add to Quote' button, especially if you're using a free theme. Select the theme that you want to install the 'Add to quote' button, then click 'Install' to finish setting up the button.

b. Installation with App block (Cart page only)

If you're not using a free theme, or the previous method did not work, consider using App block to display 'Add to Quote' button on your store. Select the theme that you want to install the 'Add to quote' button, then check the compatibility of our app block to your theme.

If everything goes well, you should be able to enable 'Add to Quote' button on your Cart page.

Please note that this App block method only works on your store's Cart page, which means the 'Add to Quote' button would not show on Product page and Collection page.

c. Manual Installation

If all previous methods failed to work, consider using Manual Installation. Simply click 'Generate code' and follow the later instructions.

Step 5: Adjust the Net Terms & Company Account tab:

a. Installation with App block

Select the theme that you want to install the 'Purchase Late' and/or the 'Share Cart' button, then check the compatibility of our app block to your theme.

If everything goes well, you should be able to enable these buttons on your Cart page.

b. Manual Installation

If all previous methods failed to work, consider using Manual Installation. Simply click 'Generate code' and follow the later instructions.
