Configure the Hide price settings

Step 1: In the page of Quoting & Ordering , navigate to the 'Request for Quote' module, then click 'Configure' to access the Request for Quote tab.

Step 2: Navigate to the 'Settings' tab. In this section you can customize and preview the 'Add to Quote' button on your storefront.

Step 3: Navigate to the Hide price section:

Step 4: Configure 'Hide price' options:

  • When you check this box, the price of the products will be hidden from customers.

  • This is useful in B2B scenarios where pricing is variable or negotiable, encouraging customers to use the "Add to Quote" button to inquire about pricing.

Step 5: Hide 'Add to Cart' button:

  • When this box is checked, the 'Add to Cart' button will be hidden alongside the price.

  • This option is particularly helpful if you want to disable direct purchases for certain products, enabling customers to submit a quote request instead.

It is recommended that you should hide the 'Add to Cart' button when the price is hidden to avoid confusion for the customer.

Step 6: Hide 'Buy it now' button:

  • When enabled, this option hides the 'Buy it now' button.

  • This feature ensures that customers are directed toward submitting a quote rather than making a direct purchase, especially when price negotiation is necessary.

It is recommended that you should hide the 'Buy it now' button when the price is hidden to avoid confusion for the customer.

Step 7: Additional options:

  • Display fields for entering offer prices on the quote form:

    • This option allows you to include fields on the quote form where customers can enter their offer price per product. This can be helpful in facilitating negotiations directly through the form.

  • Redirect after submitting:

    • If checked, this option will automatically redirect customers to a specific page after they submit their quote request. This is useful for guiding users to a thank-you page or additional product information.

Step 8: Saving your changes:

  • Once you are satisfied with the settings, click the Save button located at the top corner of the screen.

  • If you wish to discard any changes made during the session, use the Discard button beside the Save button.

In summary:

  • If you check the 'Hide price' button, it is recommended that you also check the 'Add to cart' and 'Buy it now' button.

  • If you uncheck the 'Display fields for entering offer prices on the quote form', customers won't be able to give their offer price.

  • If you want to redirect your customers to a different site after submitting form, check the 'Redirect after submitting' button and insert the website's URL.
