# Set Discount Codes on Your Orders

The **Discount Code** feature allows your customers to **apply discount codes directly to their B2B carts**, just like on a regular Shopify store. This ensures a flexible and rewarding shopping experience — while still keeping full control over which customers, products, or order types can use discounts.

It’s a simple yet powerful tool for running promotions, rewarding loyal buyers, or offering special deals to selected wholesale customers.

### ⚙️ How to Enable and Use Discount Codes

Follow the steps below to set up and apply discount codes for your B2B/Wholesale orders:

#### 🔹 Step 1: Enable the Discount Code Feature

1. From your **Shopify admin**, go to **Apps → BSS B2B Solution**.
2. In the left sidebar, open **Discount**
3. Toggle on the **Discount Code** to activate the feature.
4. Navigate to **Installation** on **Discount Code** card, click **Check compatibility**, and then install the Discount Code box to your cart page. Once it's done, your customers will see a **discount code box** on the cart.

#### 🔹 Step 2: Create Discount Codes via 4-Step Stepper

From your Shopify admin, go to **Apps → BSS B2B Solution → B2B Discounts → Discount Code → Create rule**. The rule creation workflow follows a structured 4-step stepper:

1. **Step 1 — Basic**:
   * Enter rule name and code string (or click **Generate Code**).
   * Set the rule status to Active or Inactive.
2. **Step 2 — Target**:
   * Choose customer eligibility: All customers, Specific customer tags, or Specific emails.
   * Choose product eligibility: All products, Specific products, or Specific collections.
3. **Step 3 — Discount Settings**:
   * Select discount type: **Product Discount** (Percentage or Fixed amount), **Order Discount** (Percentage or Fixed amount), or **Free Shipping**.
   * Set minimum purchase requirements (Minimum order value or minimum quantity).
4. **Step 4 — Others**:
   * **Exclude Customers**: Exclude specific customer tags or emails from redeeming the discount code. This prevents wholesale buyers with negotiated custom pricing from stacking additional coupon discounts at checkout.
   * **Usage Limits & Scheduling**: Set total usage limits, per-customer limits, and active date schedules.
5. Click **Save** to publish your discount code rule.

#### 🔹 Step 3: Apply Discount Code During Checkout Process

When customers place an order:

* They can enter the **discount code** in the field provided.
* The system will automatically validate the code and apply the discount.
* The total amount will update instantly, reflecting the reduced price.

If the discount code doesn’t meet the set conditions, customers will receive an error message explaining why the code cannot be applied.

#### 🔹 Step 4: View Applied Discounts in Orders

After checkout, both you and the customer can view the applied discount:

* On the **Order Confirmation page**
* In the **Order Details** section inside your **Shopify admin**

This helps you easily track which promotions or campaigns are being used by your B2B customers.

### 💡 Example

Let’s say you create a discount code called **B2BSPRING10** that gives **10% off orders over $500**.\
When an eligible wholesale customer places a qualifying order and enters the code, the system automatically applies the discount — creating a seamless, professional buying experience.
