🔄 Import & Export Quantity / Amount Break Rules

Need to manage many pricing rules at once? Our Import / Export feature for Quantity/Amount Break (QB / AB) makes it simple. You can bulk create, edit, or migrate discount rules without having to configure each one manually — saving time and reducing errors.

📤 Export Your Existing Rules

  1. First, review all your current Quantity Break rules to ensure they’re up to date and accurate.

  2. Navigate to Import / Export under the Quantity / Amount Break section.

  3. Click on the Export button (usually located at the bottom of the page).

  4. Download the file to your computer. Open it to view and modify your pricing rules offline.

This exported file becomes your working template — you can copy, tweak, or duplicate rules quickly before re-importing them.

📥 Import New or Updated Rules

  1. From the Import / Export panel, click Download Sample File to get a template with all required fields. (No need to start from scratch!)

  2. Use the template and guidelines (displayed beside the download link) to enter your rules correctly.

  3. When filling out the file, be sure to follow these key rules:

    • id, titles, SKUs, barcodes must be unique

    • status should be either Enable or Disable

    • priority must be between 0 and 99

    • apply_to_customers values: All, Logged-in customers, Not logged-in customers, Specific customers, or Customer tags

    • apply_to_products options: All products, Specific products, Product collections, Product tags, or Specific variants

    • exclude_product_type values: None, Specific products, Specific variants, Product tags, Product collections

    • exclude_customers settings: None, Specific customers, or Customer tags

    • rule_setting must be QB (Quantity Break) or AB (Amount Break)

    • For QB, rule_type should be one of: Minimum Order Qty, Minimum Product Qty, Minimum Variant Qty

    • For AB, rule_type options are: Order Amount, Product Amount, Variant Amount

    • discount_type must match one of: • Set a specific price • Subtract a fixed amount • Subtract a percentage

    • table_style must be among the allowed styles (e.g. Full range & Discounts, From & Discounted prices, Legacy 1, etc.)

    • Depending on your apply_to_customers or apply_to_products choice, specific fields like customer_emails, product_titles, sku, barcode, or variant IDs must not be empty and must correspond to actual data in your store

  4. Once your spreadsheet is ready, upload it from the Import / Export section.

  5. Choose whether to override existing rules or merge with existing ones:

    • Import and Add Rules: The new rules will be added alongside your current ones, keeping existing rules intact.

    • Import and Replace Rules: All current Quantity Break rules will be removed and replaced with the imported set — only the newly imported rules will remain.

  6. After import, a success message confirms your rules are now live (or gives you error feedback if something is wrong).

✅ Tips for Reliable Import / Export

  • Always back up your current rules before replacing them entirely.

  • Use the sample file as a guide — errors often come from missing or improperly formatted fields.

  • Double-check customer and product identifiers (emails, SKUs, barcodes, variant IDs) to make sure they exist in your store — otherwise the rule won’t apply.

  • Keep priority numbers consistent so your new rules take effect in the intended order.

  • Use the merge option if you want to retain existing rules but add new ones.

  • Use the replace option when you're making a full refresh or restructuring your pricing logic.
