# Volume Pricing

Volume Pricing lets you offer automatic discounts based on how much a customer buys — by quantity or by order value. The more they buy, the better the deal.

Encourage bigger purchases and reward loyal customers with flexible, **volume-based pricing**. The Volume Pricing module empowers your business to set **automatic discount tiers** that adapt to the size of each order — whether based on **quantity purchased** or **total cart value**.

### What It Does

* **Quantity-based tiers** — discount kicks in when a customer buys 10, 20, 50+ units
* **Value-based tiers** — discount applies when cart reaches $200, $500, $1,000+
* **Automatic application** — no manual steps required from the customer
* **Flexible scope** — apply to all products, specific collections, or individual SKUs
* **Customer targeting** — restrict rules to specific customer tags or emails

**Example:**

> Buy 10 products → 10% off\
> Buy 20 products → 20% off

These pricing tiers are applied automatically at checkout, helping you **increase average order value (AOV)** and **strengthen B2B relationships** by offering better deals to customers who buy more.

With full flexibility, you can define different discount levels per product, collection, or customer segment — making it perfect for both **wholesale stores** and **bulk-order retail businesses.**

### Combining with Other Pricing Modules

Volume Pricing is designed to stack on top of other pricing rules:

| Order | Module                  | Role                                                     |
| ----- | ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| 1st   | Price List per Customer | Sets the base wholesale price (if configured)            |
| 2nd   | Custom Pricing          | Sets the base price if no Price List applies             |
| 3rd   | Volume Pricing          | Applied on top of the Price List / Custom Pricing result |

Volume Pricing tiers are calculated against the already-adjusted wholesale price — not the original retail price. A customer who gets 20% off via Custom Pricing and then qualifies for a 10% volume tier pays the 10% on the custom price, not on the full retail price.

### Where to Find It

Go to **B2B pricing › Volume Pricing** in the app sidebar. The module tabs at the top of **B2B pricing** switch between Custom Pricing, Price Lists, Volume Pricing, Extra Fee and Shipping Rate.

On the Volume Pricing page:

* The title row shows the module name, an **On/Off** badge and the **module on/off switch**. Rules only apply on your storefront while the module is on.
* The header buttons are **Settings** and **Storefront setup**, plus a **More actions** menu. Open **More actions** for **Translations** and **Import & export**. **Guide** opens the in-app Help center for this page.
* Above the rule list, use **Quick create** to build many rules at once, or **Add rule** to build one rule in detail. If you have no rules yet, the empty state shows **Add volume pricing rule**.
